Cervelt Wedding Scarves

Cervelt Wedding Scarves for Winter Grooms and Brides

A Cervelt wedding scarf keeps the cold off at a winter wedding without adding weight to the outfit. Handwoven in Dhaka from the fine winter down of farmed New Zealand red deer, it sits neatly under a coat collar or over a sherwani, and folds small enough for a pocket or clutch.

For the groom

Worn under the collar of a winter coat from the car to the venue, then over the sherwani for the photographs, a Cervelt scarf is the one piece the groom wears all day. It is so rare that no one else at the wedding will have the same.

For the bride

Between the ceremony, the photographs and the reception, a Cervelt scarf keeps the bride warm without covering the neckline of her outfit.

As a wedding gift

For a December or January wedding, a Cervelt scarf is a gift that will be worn on the day and kept for every winter after. Send it boxed with its certificate and a handwritten card in the Gift Edition.

Questions

Is Cervelt the same as cashmere?

No. Cashmere comes from goats. Cervelt is the fine down of red deer, with a soft, dry handle of its own.

Is it warm enough for a snowy wedding?

It is warm for its weight and made for cold evenings. In snow, wear it with a coat.

How do I care for it?

Store it folded in the cotton bag it arrives in, away from direct sunlight and damp. For cleaning, use a specialist cleaner who handles fine handwoven textiles.
