The Gift Edition is any Atelier shawl or scarf, in Dhaka muslin or Cervelt, sent in a presentation box with its numbered certificate, its QR code and a handwritten card. It is a wedding gift made to be kept, worn again at the next family wedding and passed down.
Who it is for
- The couple. A shawl for the bride and a scarf for the groom, boxed together.
- The mother of the bride. A thank-you she can wear on the day itself.
- A Gulf wedding. In the UAE, Qatar and across the Gulf, a fine shawl is a traditional wedding gift. A handwoven Cervelt shawl carries the same meaning, legally.
- The bride to be. For an engagement, a shower or the holidays before the wedding.

What is in the box
- The shawl or scarf, folded in tissue
- A presentation box
- The numbered certificate of authenticity and its QR code
- A handwritten card with your message
- Care notes for the fabric
Choosing for someone else
If you do not know the wedding colours, a scarf, or a shawl in natural ivory, works with almost any outfit. For a winter wedding, choose Cervelt. For a summer wedding, a destination wedding, choose Dhaka muslin.
Sending it in time for the wedding
Select Request to Own on the piece and tell us the wedding date and the country it is going to. We reply on WhatsApp and agree the delivery, the timing and payment with you before anything is charged. We can send the gift straight to the couple or their family, with no prices inside the box.
Questions
Can I send it to a different country from my own?
Yes. Tell us where you are and give us the recipient’s address in the US, Canada or the Gulf.
Can I add my own message?
Yes. Your message is written by hand on the card inside the box.
Is a Cervelt shawl the same as shahtoosh?
No. Shahtoosh is banned from trade. Cervelt is a legal fibre from farmed red deer, which is why it can be given openly.
Woven for Vivah by Muslin Dhaka.
